"Black Box" — признанные лидеры Italo House музыки конца 80-х. Группа была создана в 1988 году и сначала называлась "The Groove Groove Melody". У истоков её создания стояли композиторы Daniele Davoli, Valerio Semplici и Mirko Limoni. В 1989 году к ним присоединилась певица-модель Katlin (Catherine Quind), после чего группа сменила название на "Black Box" и дебютировала с композицией "Ride on time".
Запись вихрем пронеслась по Европе, потом попала в британские чарты и
была там №1 в течение шести недель. Серию их хитов продолжил "I don't know anybody else", бывший даже в США в TOP10, и знаменитая "Everybody everybody", вокалисткой которого была уже Martha Wash.
